Funding Your Account

Learn how to fund your Yellow account, whether you sign in with Google or connect with a wallet, and understand how funds move into your trading flow.

Funding your account depends on how you signed in to Yellow. There are two deposit flows: one for users connected with Google, and one for users connected with a wallet.

Before You Start

To begin, go to the Assets page from the header menu and select the asset and network you want to use.

Warning: Always make sure the selected asset and network are correct before continuing. Using the wrong network can result in a permanent loss of funds.

Option 1: Logged In With Google

If you signed in with Google, the funding flow follows this order:

Step 1: Deposit to Account Balance

Your first deposit goes to your Account Balance.

Enter the amount you want to deposit, review the selected asset and network, and follow the deposit flow shown on the platform.

Once the deposit is completed and confirmed onchain, the funds will appear in your Account Balance.

Step 2: Transfer to Trading Account

After the funds arrive in your Account Balance, transfer them to your Trading Account before trading.

Open the transfer flow, choose the asset and amount, and confirm the move from Account Balance to Trading Account.

Once completed, the funds will be available for trading.

Important: You cannot transfer to Trading Account before completing the deposit to Account Balance. If no funds are available in Account Balance, you must complete that step first.

Option 2: Connected With a Wallet

If you connected using a wallet, deposits are made directly from the connected wallet through the platform flow.

Step 1: Confirm the Deposit From Your Connected Wallet

Yellow deposits are made directly from your connected wallet to the platform smart contract. You do not need to copy a deposit address or use a QR code.

Enter the amount you want to deposit and approve the required wallet actions.

During this process, you will be asked to sign two transactions in your external wallet:

  1. the approval transaction

  2. the deposit transaction

Step 2: Wait for Onchain Confirmation

Once both transactions are signed and submitted, the deposit must be confirmed onchain. The required time may vary depending on the selected network and current network conditions.

After confirmation, your funds will appear in your available balance and will be ready for trading.

If you want, I can do the matching Withdraw Your Funds page next in the same style, with the Account Balance ↔ Trading Account logic made very explicit.
