FAQ

Find quick answers to common questions about Yellow, including account balances, transfers, deposits, withdrawals, trading, and fees.

General

What is Yellow?

Yellow is a trading platform designed for fast execution and user-controlled custody.

Is Yellow custodial?

No. Yellow is non-custodial, which means you remain in control of your assets.

How do I access Yellow?

You can sign in using Google or connect a supported wallet such as MetaMask, Phantom, Rabby, or WalletConnect.

Account Structure

What is the difference between Account Balance and Trading Account?

Your Account Balance is your main balance on Yellow. Your Trading Account is the balance you use for trading.

How funds move depends on how you signed in:

  • If you sign in with Google, your deposit first arrives in Account Balance. From there, you transfer funds to your Trading Account before trading.

  • If you connect your own wallet, you deposit directly from that connected wallet through the platform.

To keep it simple:

  • Account Balance = where funds arrive first if you sign in with Google, and if you want to withdraw, you need to move funds back to Account Balance first.

  • Trading Account = where funds need to be to trade

Why do I have two balances?

Yellow separates funds used for trading from funds held in your main account balance. This helps organize deposits, transfers, trading activity, and withdrawals.

Can I trade directly from Account Balance?

No. To trade, funds must be in your Trading Account.

Can I withdraw directly from Trading Account?

No. To withdraw externally, you must first transfer funds from Trading Account to Account Balance, then use the Withdraw tab.

Deposits

How do I deposit funds?

Go to the Assets page, choose the asset and network you want to use, and follow the deposit steps shown on the platform.

How you deposit depends on how you signed in:

  • If you sign in with Google, your deposit first arrives in Account Balance. From there, you can transfer funds to your Trading Account before trading.

  • If you connect your own wallet, you deposit directly from that connected wallet through the platform.

Do I need to copy and paste, or scan a deposit address?
  • If you signed in with Google, you may be shown a deposit address.

  • If you connected with a wallet, deposits are made directly through the wallet flow and do not require copying an address.

How long does a deposit take?

Deposits usually take a few minutes, but timing depends on the selected network and current congestion.

Why is my deposit not showing up?

Check the transaction status on the relevant block explorer. If the transaction is confirmed onchain but your balance is not updated, contact us using Contact Support

Are there deposit fees?

Yes. Network fees apply to deposits, depending on the blockchain network you choose. The fee is shown before you confirm the deposit, so you can review the cost and choose the option that works best for you.
